Summer Youth Supervisor Wanted!

Are you a responsible and dedicated person who wants to help provide young people with valuable experience and tools for the future? Then you might be one of our new supervisors who will lead our summer youth workers!

At Stockholmshem, as a municipal housing company, we have an important mission to offer young people aged 16-19 a positive experience of working life through summer job opportunities.

Every summer, we welcome youth workers who work for a few weeks on various tasks related to our property management, much of the work takes place outdoors and in the common areas of the buildings. This year, we will welcome over 100 young people for a period of 3 weeks.

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the daily supervision of your group of youth workers
• Planning and follow-up of tasks in dialogue with the responsible area manager
• Collaborate and cooperate with other supervisors at Stockholmshem
• You are responsible for ensuring that the youth have a clear understanding of the tasks you will perform together
• You are responsible for daily follow-up based on the purpose and goals of the tasks
• Feedback on the youth's work efforts and support in practical matters
• Introducing the youth and evaluating their work
• Reporting the hours worked by the youth

You will be part of the management area where the youth have their positions and report to the responsible area manager.

Before the youth workers arrive, you will have a preparation period of about a week where you will receive an introduction to the company, supervision, tasks, and handling of the administrative duties that come with the supervisory role. You will also work for about a week after the youth's last day with evaluation and follow-up related to their employment. Your total employment period is approximately 5 weeks, from June 3 to July 10.

Who Are You?

As a person, you are communicative and have the ability to create participation and trust within your workgroup. You are used to solving challenges through collaboration and have a good ability to lead both yourself and others in an inspiring and engaging way.

Your Background:

• High school education or equivalent experience from working life, preferably in customer or service sectors.
• Good experience in a leadership role from, for example, associations or organizational life.
• Driver's license (B)

Experience working with youth is an advantage.
